MALCOM is a TeamSpeak Plugin that allows you to use your COM1/COM2 FSX radio to move channels within TeamSpeak.
It is installed automatically by the MaldAir Group Service Pack Updater but it is NOT enabled by default.
To enable MALCOM, please follow these steps:
Launch TeamSpeak and go into 'Settings' and select 'Plugins'.
Place a check mark in the MalCom tick box.
Click on 'Close'
Once enabled, a 'Plugins' menu will appear. Follow the path above to start to configure MALCOM.
Select your required options from the above screen. We recommend 'Auto COM retune with manual TS3 channel switching ENABLED' and 'Stay in current channel if COM tuning does not match TS channels'.
Click on 'OK' when complete.
TeamSpeak will now change channels based upon your selections on your FSX radio stack.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Your aircraft needs to be fully loaded BEFORE TeamSpeak is loaded for the channel switcher to work. You may need to restart TeamSpeak.
If MALCOM is not showing in your TeamSpeak it may be that your TeamSpeak is not installed in the default location which is either 'C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client' or 'C:\Program Files (x86)\TeamSpeak 3 Client'.
If MALCOM is showing in your TeamSpeak, but it is giving you errors, it may be that you have a 32bit/64bit .dll mismatch.
Unfortunately, there is no reliable way to establish the live TeamSpeak location or version on your system. If you have TeamSpeak installed in a non default location you need to exit TeamSpeak and copy the following folder and files to YOUR live install folder:
C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\SQLite3.dll
C:\Program Files\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins\MalCom.dll
or, for 32bit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\TeamSpeak 3 Client\SQLite3.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\TeamSpeak 3 Client\plugins\MalCom.dll
You have to match the 32/64bit .dll to your live TS3 install.
Remember to exit TeamSpeak before the copy.
